Plans & Billing
APULODI is free to start and usage-capped by design: every plan carries hard quotas, so a forgotten demo can never turn into a surprise bill. Paid plans raise the quotas and are billed in Malawian Kwacha (MWK) through PayChangu — Airtel Money, TNM Mpamba, and cards.
Plans
| Free | Pro | Scale | Enterprise | |

| Max file size | 100 MB | 10 GB | 100 GB | custom |

The active plan is set per organization and becomes the default quota for every project in it. Project-level overrides (Settings → Quota overrides) always win, which is how you can partition a paid plan across projects.
Paying with PayChangu
- Open Dashboard → Billing and pick Pro or Scale. Billing is in Malawian Kwacha.
- You are redirected to PayChangu's hosted checkout — approve with Airtel Money, TNM Mpamba, or a card.
- APULODI verifies the payment server-side (webhook + transaction re-query) and your subscription is active for 30 days immediately.
Renewals, grace and downgrades
PayChangu processes one-time payments, so a subscription is a renewable period rather than an automatic card charge:
- T-3 days before the period ends you get a renewal reminder.
- On expiry the plan enters a 7-day grace period — everything keeps working, with a daily reminder.
- After grace the organization returns to the Free plan. Files are never
deleted; only the paid quota limits are removed (uploads over the free
quota are rejected with
403 QUOTA_EXCEEDED). - Cancelling keeps the plan active until the end of the paid period.
Tracking usage
The Usage & Quotas page documents the metering model and the
GET /api/v1/usage endpoint. The dashboard Usage tab shows the same numbers
with a plan-upgrade hint when you approach 80% of a quota.
